Wednesday, the Detroit Lions announced they have placed DeAndre Levy on the injured reserve list. Levy went through hip surgery mid-October after suffering a setback from his injury in the one half he played against Arizona Cardinals.
This move likely explains the reports from Tuesday that the Lions will sign linebacker James Michael-Johnson. Detroit also confirmed this signing on Wednesday.
Levy did not tally a single tackle in the two quarters that he played in 2015. Back in August, Levy signed a four-year contract extension worth $33.72 million.
