- Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press compiled ten potential candidates for the Detroit Lions' general manager position. Eliot Wolf (Green Bay's current director of pro personnel) is the leading candidate on the list.
- Mlive's Justin Rogers one-upped the Free Press and compiled a list of 12 candidates. One interesting name from Justin's list: Louis Riddick, current ESPN analysis. I'm sure Lions fans would be extremely open to the idea of hiring an ESPN analysis to the general manager position, right?
- Lynn Henning of The Detroit News threw together six candidates for the job. Rick Spielman, current Vikings general manager and former Detroit Lions scout, is a name on the list that isn't being tossed around by many.
- ESPN's Michael Rothstein's list of five candidates features two current employees of the New England Patriots: Nick Casiero, current director of player personnel, and Michael Lombardi (relax, no relation), current coaching assistant.
Who among those lists are your favorite candidates?
