Flu season is over. Just one month after signing Andre Fluellen for the ninth time, the Detroit Lions have placed him on the injured reserve list, ending his season. Fluellen played in just four games this season and totaled four tackles. With the Lions now even more short-handed at the defensive tackle position, expect to see more of 2015 fourth-round draft pick Gabe Wright, who has been inactive on gamedays for the past few weeks.
The Lions also picked up defensive end C.J. Wilson off of waivers. Wilson was waived from the Oakland Raiders on Saturday. Wilson has played in four games with the Raiders this year and even started one. However, he only has three tackles on the year.
Wilson, a six-year veteran, was considered a decent defensive line depth player for the Raiders, but as the Raiders got healthier along the defensive line, it made Wilson more expendable. Wilson has the skills to play any position along the line.
