The Detroit Lions take on the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football, so the first practice injury report finds itself released on Thursday. It's a relatively short list, but of particular note is Calvin Johnson sitting out from practice while he nurses a lingering ankle injury. He's still expected to play Monday, as he has every week despite being listed with the injury.
Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata has returned to the injury report with a neck strain, while Michael Ola and Glover Quin nurse their own ailments. All three were constrained to limited practice. The Lions did receive some good news as wide receiver Lance Moore was in full participation at practice on Thursday as he works through an ankle strain. The full injury report follows.
