Lions injury report: Calvin Johnson back at practice, Ebron limited with illness

Calvin Johnson returned as expected to limited practice on Friday, while Ebron joins the report with an illness.

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

As expected, Calvin Johnson was back at practice on Friday, albeit in a limited fashion, as he battles through a lingering ankle issue. The Lions prepare to play the Saints on Monday Night Football and the list is, thankfully, short for what it is, and no Lion missed practice. However, a new name appeared Friday as tight end Eric Ebron has come down with an illness and was limited in practice Friday.

Illness is a curious definition for an injury report, and its sudden appearance could mean a lot of different things. Rashean Mathis was listed with an illness during practice in London, and it would later turn out that those symptoms were the result of a concussion. Of course, real illness comes down as swiftly, and the curious weather in Michigan can do a spell right quick on the unsuspecting.

Not much else has changed from Thursday in regards to the injury list. Lance Moore remains the only injured Lion in full practice, while Ngata, Ola and Quin are limited in various capacities. The full report follows.
