Glover Quin still out, consecutive game streak in question

Glover Quin sat out practice for the second straight day, making him unlikely to play this week.

Glover Quin was not able to finish his 98th consecutive game on Monday, after a tackle left him visibly woozy. The concussion that he suffered appears to be on the severe side, as he was out of practice on Thursday, his second consecutive day off.

In his strangely brief press conference on Thursday, Jim Caldwell said Quin is "progressing" through the concussion protocol, but in typical fashion (of any NFL coach), would not provide any details. When asked if the Lions would take an extra precautions with Quin since the Lions are out of the playoff race, Caldwell staunchly responded, "We do the same thing we always do."

The rest of the injury report is almost identical to Wednesday's. The only change is Bill Bentley was added. He sat out of Thursday's practice due to an illness.

Here's the complete list:

CB Bill Bentley (illness) - No practice
Glover Quin (concussion): No practice
LB Josh Bynes (foot): Limited practice
WR Calvin Johnson (ankle): Limited practice
DT Haloti Ngata (neck): Limited practice
Michael Ola (knee): Limited practice
DT Caraun Reid (ankle): Limited practice
Larry Warford (quad): Limited practice
