Lions notes: Joique Bell, Travis Swanson, more

Lions notes looks at Joique Bell, Travis Swanson and much more.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports
  • Despite undergoing surgery earlier this offseason, Joique Bell is hoping to be ready for OTAs.
  • Bell is going back to school this offseason.
  • This is pretty high praise for DeAndre Levy:
  • Much like Calvin Johnson, it sounds like Bell is willing to recruit Ndamukong Suh in order to make sure the defensive tackle re-signs with the Detroit Lions.
  • MLive's Justin Rogers put together a projection of what a six-year, $100 million deal for Suh might look like.

  • Travis Swanson and Glover Quin both received awards from the Detroit Sports Broadcasters Association.
  • Swanson may already be penciled in as the Lions' starting center for next season, but that doesn't mean he's going to spend the offseason relaxing.
  • You can go ahead and scratch Luke McCown off the list of potential backup quarterback options for the Lions. They reportedly had interest in him last year given his connection to Joe Lombardi, but McCown has already re-signed with the New Orleans Saints.

  • Dick LeBeau ended up joining the Tennessee Titans instead of the Arizona Cardinals.
  • The Pro Football Hall of Fame's 2016 class could feature some pretty big names.

  • The list of participants for the 2015 NFL Combine is out.
