What are the Lions' top needs going into free agency? Let's rank them!

As free agency approaches, what are the Detroit Lions' top needs? Let's rank them with a community-based poll.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

We are now less than a month away from the start of free agency. In order to get an idea of what the Detroit Lions' biggest needs are going into free agency, I've put together a poll allowing you guys to vote on them.

What criteria should be used for assembling your pre-free agency rankings? It's really up to you, but I'm personally basing it on which positions have the biggest holes if you take all of the Lions' soon-to-be free agents out of the equation. To go a step further, I'm also factoring in the degree of difficulty in filling those holes in the depth chart, and I'm also considering the importance of each need that exists. In other words, if no starter is under contract at a position vital to the Lions' success and there are a limited number of options to fill that need, it's probably going to be pretty high up on the list.

In any case, voting is quite simple: just rank the positions below. You can reorder the list by dragging the positions around or by adjusting the rank numbers. After a few days, I will close the voting and reveal the results in a separate post.
