A look at the Lions' 2016 Super Bowl odds

Odds for the 2016 Super Bowl are already out. Where did the Detroit Lions land? Come take a look.

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

A year ago, just a few weeks after hiring Jim Caldwell as their new head coach, the Detroit Lions were given 33/1 odds to win the 2015 Super Bowl. This was an improvement from the 40/1 odds they had a year earlier for the 2014 Super Bowl, and this put them in a tie for 14th.

This year, one day after Super Bowl XLIX was played, Bovada's odds for the 2016 Super Bowl once again have the Lions at 33/1. This puts them in a tie for 11th with the Arizona Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens. So although the Lions' odds are exactly the same as last year, they're a few spots higher up on the list of odds this time around.

The overall favorite to win the 2016 Super Bowl is the team that came up just short this year: the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks' odds are 5/1, just ahead of the New England Patriots, which have 7/1 odds.  Behind them are the Green Bay Packers (8/1) and Denver Broncos (10/1).

Which teams have the worst odds for the 2016 Super Bowl? That would be the Jacksonville Jaguars and Oakland Raiders, as both teams are currently listed at 200/1.
