2014 POD Awards: Defensive Player of the Year

Which Detroit Lions player should be named the Defensive Player of the Year? Vote now as part of the 2014 POD Awards.

Next up in the 2014 POD Awards is the category for the Detroit Lions' Defensive Player of the Year. Here are the nominees:

DE Ziggy Ansah

In his second season in the NFL, Ansah recorded 49 tackles and 7.5 sacks. He also forced three fumbles in 2014.

DT Ndamukong Suh

Suh once again had a Pro Bowl season, recording 53 tackles, 8.5 sacks and three pass defenses.

LB DeAndre Levy

Levy led the Lions in tackles with 151 on the season. He also had 2.5 sacks, one safety, four pass defenses and one interception.

S Glover Quin

Like Suh, Quin earned a spot in the Pro Bowl with his play in 2014. Quin had 73 tackles, 10 pass defenses and a league-leading seven interceptions.

S James Ihedigbo

Despite missing three games at the start of the season, Ihedigbo had 71 tackles, 2.0 sacks, eight pass defenses, four interceptions, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in his first year with the Lions.
