On Friday, word leaked out that Detroit Lions special teams coordinator John Bonamego is going to be hired as Central Michigan's new head football coach. Nothing has been officially announced just yet, but the Lions have already reportedly hired a replacement for Bonamego:
Veteran special teams coordinator Joe Marciano has accepted same position w/ Detroit Lions per source.

The Lions are essentially declining comment at this point in time, but it appears that with Bonamego headed to CMU, Joe Marciano will run the special teams units in Detroit going forward.
Marciano was most recently the interim special teams coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings. Before that, he was the Houston Texans' special teams coordinator from 2002-13. He has also coached special teams for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints in the NFL. His final season with the Bucs actually coincided with Jim Caldwell's one and only season in Tampa, so they have coached together in the past.
Look for this move to be officially announced in the next few days.
