Next up in the 2014 POD Awards is the category for the Detroit Lions' Offensive Player of the Year. Here are the nominees:
QB Matthew Stafford
Stafford completed 60.3 percent of his passes and threw for 4,257 yards, 22 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2014. He also added two more touchdowns on the ground, and he ended up in his first career Pro Bowl after originally being named an alternate.
RB Joique Bell
Bell became the Lions' lead running back in 2014 with 223 carries for 860 yards and seven touchdowns. He also caught 34 passes for 322 yards and one touchdown.
WR Golden Tate
In his first season with the Lions, Tate set career highs in both catches (99) and yards (1,331). He also added four touchdowns for good measure.
WR Calvin Johnson
Despite missing three games and being limited by injury in a couple more, Johnson finished 2014 with 71 catches for 1,077 yards and eight touchdowns.
