Lions notes: Haloti Ngata, Ndamukong Suh, more

Lions notes looks at Haloti Ngata's number, Ndamukong Suh's comments about his time in Detroit and much more.

  • For those wondering about Haloti Ngata's number with the Detroit Lions, here's an update:
  • Ndamukong Suh officially signed with the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday, and he had this to say about his time with the Lions:
  • Suh's contract is massive, to say the least.
  • Rather than switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defense, the Lions may just use both schemes in 2015.
  • The St. Louis Rams are apparently getting in on the Nick Fairley sweepstakes. We found out on Wednesday that Fairley is unlikely to re-sign with the Lions, and he has already visited the Cincinnati Bengals. It remains to be seen if Fairley will end up visiting the Rams as well, but the thought of him lining up alongside Aaron Donald is just really depressing.

  • No wonder Kendall Langford decided to sign with the Indianapolis Colts over the Lions; I can't imagine Detroit offered this kind of money:
  • SB Nation's latest 2015 NFL mock draft has the Lions taking Miami (FL) offensive tackle Ereck Flowers in the first round.

  • Former Lions running back Reggie Bush reportedly visited the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday. I guess Jarryd Hayne may get a chance to be teammates with him after all.

  • Speaking of former Lions... You can check out the full invite list for the Veteran Combine here.

  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the latest example of why going on a free agency spending spree isn't necessarily a good thing.
