All indications are that the Detroit Lions have moved on from defensive tackle Nick Fairley, but until he signs elsewhere, his situation will still be worth keeping an eye on. With that in mind, there are two notable updates involving Fairley.
First and foremost, Fairley's visit with the Cincinnati Bengals on Wednesday did not result in him agreeing to a deal. As a result, Fairley is now visiting the St. Louis Rams. As I mentioned in a previous post, the thought of a Fairley/Aaron Donald defensive tackle combination is quite depressing from the Lions' perspective, but I'm sure the Rams are very intrigued by that possibility.
The other notable update on Fairley involves the New England Patriots:
The Patriots are showing interest in free agent defensive tackle Nick Fairley, per source.

If Fairley ends up leaving St. Louis without a deal, might a trip to New England be up next? It remains to be seen, but I'm sure the Lions are hoping Fairley continues to remain unsigned. They may have moved on for now, but if Fairley's asking price were to drop, then they might get back into the mix and make another attempt to re-sign him.
