Lions notes: Malcom Brown, Carl Davis, more

Lions notes looks at Malcom Brown, Carl Davis and much more.

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports
  • The Detroit Lions sent defensive line coach Kris Kocurek to Texas' pro day to work out defensive tackle Malcom Brown. Kocurek even commented on Brown after the workout.
  • If the Lions end up taking Iowa defensive tackle Carl Davis, he will certainly fit right in given where he's from.
  • For what it's worth:
  • The Lions are planning to privately work out Arkansas offensive guard Cameron Jefferson, according to Dave Birkett.

  • The Lions' 2015 draft hat looks pretty sweet.

  • After signing former Lions offensive tackle Corey Hilliard on Tuesday, the New York Jets brought in former Lions tight end Kellen Davis for a visit. Davis spent part of the 2015 season in Detroit as an injury replacement at tight end.

  • The Lions' proposal to make penalties reviewable (along with several other proposals related to replay) was not passed at the NFL owners meetings this week. The NFL did pass five safety-related rule changes, though.

  • It's safe to say that Adrian Peterson has no interest in ever playing for the Minnesota Vikings again.
  • This is just a phenomenal photo:
