With this year's compensatory picks being announced on Monday, we now know the full 2015 NFL Draft order. We already knew which picks belonged to the Detroit Lions even before Monday, but now all of the overall pick numbers are in place.
Here's a look at the Lions' 2015 draft picks:
- Round 1 - Pick No. 23 (23)
- Round 2 - Pick No. 22 (54)
- Round 3 - Pick No. 24 (88)
- Round 6 - Pick No. 24 (200)
- Round 7 - Pick No. 14 (231) *from Miami via Baltimore*
- Round 7 - Pick No. 23 (240)
As you can see, the Lions own their original draft picks in the first, second, third, sixth and seventh rounds. Their original fourth- and fifth-round picks were dealt to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Haloti Ngata, and the Ravens sent a seventh-round pick that originally belonged to the Miami Dolphins to Detroit in that deal.
Also, it's worth noting that the Lions did not receive any compensatory picks this year. This was because they didn't have more losses than gains in free agency last year, so they are going into the draft with only the six picks listed above.
