With the 10th pick in Pride Of Detroit's 2015 NFL mock draft, the St. Louis Rams select LSU offensive tackle La'el Collins. Mr. Zebra is serving as the Rams' general manager, and his reasoning for the pick is below.
They all said that Jeff Fisher never drafts an offensive lineman in the first round. Well, he hadn't at the time, but last year he drafted Greg Robinson second overall.
Enough people that seem to know what they're doing say that La'el Collins is a fantastic talent and future right tackle. Witness what Dante Fowler Jr. had to say about him:
"At the end of the day, I feel like that's going to be my rival for my whole career, because he's going to make his name for himself and he's going to be a great offensive tackle. I actually knew who he was coming out of high school. He was a year above me, and I remember he was [one of the top] tackles coming out of high school. From watching his highlight tape, I knew he was nasty. My sophomore year, we went to Baton Rouge and played against LSU, and I'm not going to lie, I got my butt whooped. That was one of my worst games just because of how I got tossed around."
La'el Collins is the best player available and can make an impact for years to come. The Rams are happy to draft him.
