With the 16th pick in Pride Of Detroit's 2015 NFL mock draft, the Houston Texans select Nebraska outside linebacker Randy Gregory. Jwitzsc is serving as the Texans' general manager, and his reasoning for the pick is below.

The Houston Texans are a difficult team to project whom they will draft. The so-called "experts" are all over the place with their selections. I even polled the fans at Battle Red Blog and they are torn, mostly between WR and OLB. Wide receiver seems like the biggest need after the departure of Andre Johnson. It seems funny that a team with J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney needs another pass-rushing OLB, but most fans believe this is the team's biggest need. The team needs help in the secondary and at ILB, as well. For this selection, I chose the player who fell due to character concerns -- OLB Randy Gregory.

Gregory has an outstanding first step, which allows him to explode up the field and get to the quarterback. In two years at Nebraska, Gregory had 120 total tackles and 17.5 sacks. He also had two interceptions. Houston can now replace Brooks Reed, who was a free agent. This move also allows Houston the opportunity to nurse Clowney back from his microfracture surgery.

I really considered taking Todd Gurley here as the future replacement for Arian Foster, but RB is deep, and that would be more of a luxury pick.
