Lions work out 23 local draft prospects

The Detroit Lions brought in 23 local draft prospects for a workout on Wednesday.

In addition to wrapping up their pre-draft visits on Wednesday, the Detroit Lions brought in 23 draft prospects for their annual local workout. Each year before the draft, the Lions host various players who are from the Detroit area or went to college in the state, and here's a rundown of the 23 players who took part in the workout this year:

  • WR Courtney Williams (Central Michigan)
  • WR Devin Gardner (Michigan)
  • WR Kevonte Martin-Manley (Iowa)
  • WR Marcus Beaurem (Tiffin)
  • TE Deon Butler (Central Michigan)
  • TE Mike Kinville (Central Michigan)
  • DE Brennen Beyer (Michigan)
  • DE Justice Akuezue (Wayne State)
  • DE Will Schwarz (Saginaw Valley State)
  • DT Eric Crume (Syracuse)
  • DT Leterrius Walton (Central Michigan)
  • DT Marcus Cribbs (Ferris State)
  • LB Marcell Jones (Wayne State)
  • CB Delonte Hollowell (Michigan)
  • CB Dior Mathis (Oregon)
  • CB Gerren DuHart (Wayne State)
  • CB Jason Wilson (Central Michigan)
  • CB Raymon Taylor (Michigan)
  • S Earnest Thomas III (Illinois)
  • S Mylan Hicks (Michigan State)
  • S Nathan Lindsey (Fort Hays State)

Michigan State running back Jeremy Langford, Michigan State wide receiver Tony Lippett and Michigan wide receiver Devin Funchess were also in attendance, but they didn't take part in the actual workout.
