With the 30th pick in Pride Of Detroit's 2015 NFL mock draft, the Green Bay Packers select Wake Forest cornerback Kevin Johnson. QuitITLions is serving as the Packers' general manager, and his reasoning for the pick is below.
With the loss of Tramon Williams and Davon House in free agency, I felt that cornerback became the club's biggest need. The NFC North division is loaded with top-tier receiving talent, and a shutdown corner is almost a requirement. Kevin Johnson fills both the need and BPA justifications and can quickly become that needed resource. Eric Kendricks was also a consideration, but I felt that linebacker value could be found later in the draft.
