2015 NFL mock draft: In which I pick names out of a hat

For my 2015 NFL mock draft, I literally picked names out of a hat. Here are the results.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Draft season isn't complete without our annual NFL mock draft:

Yes, instead of sitting down and thinking rationally about the top players in the draft and each team's top needs, I elected to simply pull names out of a hat for each selection. Accuracy is obviously not the primary concern here, but this mock draft actually nailed two picks back in 20132014 was a much different story, unfortunately, but I did come within a spot or two of correctly predicting multiple picks.

In any case, the methodology here is pretty simple. I took 32 of the top players from SB Nation's rankings and put their names into a hat. I then pulled out a name for each pick and ended up with the following results:

# Team Player Pos. College
1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Shane Ray DE/OLB Missouri
2 Tennessee Titans Melvin Gordon RB Wisconsin
3 Jacksonville Jaguars Andrus Peat OT Stanford
4 Oakland Raiders Leonard Williams DT USC
5 Washington Redskins Ereck Flowers OT Miami (FL)
6 New York Jets DeVante Parker WR Louisville
7 Chicago Bears Kevin White WR West Virginia
8 Atlanta Falcons Marcus Peters CB Washington
9 New York Giants Bud Dupree DE/OLB Kentucky
10 St. Louis Rams Marcus Mariota QB Oregon
11 Minnesota Vikings Dorial Green-Beckham WR Oklahoma
12 Cleveland Browns Eddie Goldman DT Florida State
13 New Orleans Saints La'el Collins OT LSU
14 Miami Dolphins Paul Dawson LB TCU
15 San Francisco 49ers Malcom Brown DT Texas
16 Houston Texans T.J. Clemmings OT Pittsburgh
17 San Diego Chargers Randy Gregory DE/OLB Nebraska
18 Kansas City Chiefs Eric Kendricks ILB UCLA
19 Cleveland Browns (from BUF) Todd Gurley RB Georgia
20 Philadelphia Eagles Danny Shelton DT Washington
21 Cincinnati Bengals Brandon Scherff OT/OG Iowa
22 Pittsburgh Steelers Landon Collins S Alabama
23 Detroit Lions Maxx Williams TE Minnesota
24 Arizona Cardinals Amari Cooper WR Alabama
25 Carolina Panthers Shaq Thompson LB Washington
26 Baltimore Ravens Jaelen Strong WR Arizona State
27 Dallas Cowboys Vic Beasley DE/OLB Clemson
28 Denver Broncos Dante Fowler DE/OLB Florida
29 Indianapolis Colts Jameis Winston QB Florida State
30 Green Bay Packers Arik Armstead DE Oregon
31 New Orleans Saints (from SEA) D.J. Humphries OT Florida
32 New England Patriots Trae Waynes CB Michigan State

I can only imagine the reaction if the Lions actually go with a tight end in the first round for a second consecutive year. That luckily is not likely to happen, but there are a couple of picks in this mock draft that I could see becoming a reality later this week.

Let's once again set the over/under at 1.5 correct picks for this mock draft. Are you taking the over or the under?
