It's been a busy couple of days for the Detroit Lions from a transactions standpoint. On Monday, for example, they signed three tryout players from their rookie minicamp and also released an undrafted free agent who was only signed last week. Then, on Tuesday, the Lions signed veteran wide receiver Lance Moore and an undrafted running back from Wayne State.
Also, it turns out that the Lions released undrafted running back Rasheed Williams on Tuesday. He also only joined the Lions last week, so his stay on the roster was a short one, but Dave Birkett reports that Williams may be re-signed at a later date.
Martin essentially takes place of UDFA RB Rasheed Williams, who wasnt gonna be able to practice next few weeks w/his school still in session
