Lions sign second-round pick Ameer Abdullah

The Detroit Lions have now signed six of their seven draft picks.

Six down, one to go.

After signing five of their draft picks last week, the Detroit Lions inked second-round pick Ameer Abdullah to his rookie contract on Wednesday:

Abdullah's contract is for four years, and it's projected to be worth a total of $4,156,126 by Over the Cap. He is expected to receive a signing bonus worth nearly $1.3 million, and his 2015 cap number should be around $755,659.

With Abdullah and the Lions' final five picks all under contract, only first-round pick Laken Tomlinson is unsigned. For reference, last year's first-round pick, Eric Ebronsigned with the Lions on June 13. With that in mind, the expectation for Tomlinson would be for him to be signed at some point in the next month or so. I expect him to be under contract well before mid-June, though.
