Lions notes: Matthew Stafford, Ziggy Ansah, more

Lions notes looks at Matthew Stafford, Ziggy Ansah and much more.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports
  • Matthew Stafford is quite pleased with how his offensive line looks following the draft. Via MLive: "Since the week before the draft, to the week after, it was like night and day. We just have so many more bodies, and so many more guys who are capable of playing well."

  • Well done, Ziggy Ansah:
  • A nerve issue was the reason behind TJ Jones missing his entire rookie season last year, according to an interview he did with ESPN. Jones luckily now appears to be back to full health, and he's really putting his focus on being able to contribute on special teams in order to secure a spot on the 53-man roster.

  • Dan Orlovsky and Kellen Moore will likely be competing against each other for the backup quarterback job this summer, but they are both happy to be teammates again.

  • Rotoworld ranked the NFL's best quarterback situations, and they put the Detroit Lions seventh.

  • Football Outsiders recently took a look at various stats related to broken tackles from the 2014 season.
