The Detroit Lions concluded OTAs on Thursday, and they also got their final unsigned draft pick under contract. They previously signed five of their picks shortly after the draft, and Ameer Abdullah was signed nearly a week later. Now, nearly a month after that, first-round pick Laken Tomlinson has also been signed.
Exact numbers aren't out just yet, but we know that Tomlinson's deal is for four years. Also, like all contracts for first-round picks, the deal includes a team option for a fifth year.
As far as the money aspect of the contract goes, Over the Cap estimates that it will be worth $8.55 million. Tomlinson is expected to get a signing bonus worth $4.48 million, and his cap number for 2015 should come in around $1.55 million. Again, these are just estimates, but the official numbers should be pretty close to these projections.
With Tomlinson signed, all seven of the Lions' 2015 picks are under contract going into next week's mandatory minicamp.
