RB Rasheed Williams (Alfred State) - Undrafted free agent
Rasheed Williams has actually been signed by the Detroit Lions on two separate occasions. He was a part of the Lions' initial 2015 UDFA class, but he was released shortly after. Once he finished his classes and was eligible to start practicing, the Lions re-signed him, so he is now back on the roster.

Random fact
Before the draft, Williams privately worked out for the Houston Texans and "garnered attention" from the New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers, according to The Evening Tribune.
What the experts are saying
Former Alfred State head coach Mick Caba (via The Evening Tribune):
"Obviously he’s big. He has size and power and can run people over when he needs to. He’s got that extra gear when he gets into open field. He can outrun a safety. When he was an opponent here, he used to run kickoffs back. So he has a ton of different skills," said Caba. "But the thing that separates him from other backs is a jump step and acceleration."

Outlook for 2015
Much like Zach Zenner, Williams' path to the 53-man roster likely involves beating out George Winn for the final spot at running back. To do that, Williams will have to really excel on special teams. Showing promise as a running back will also be important, but performing on special teams will likely be the difference between hanging around -- either on the 53-man roster or the practice squad -- and being a free agent come September.
