The 2015 NFL preseason is already underway, and the Detroit Lions will kick off their schedule of exhibition games on Thursday night against the New York Jets. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET, and a pretty good crowd is expected at Ford Field. If you're not attending the game, there are three (legal) ways you can watch it:
Live on TV
This game will be aired live locally on WJBK (FOX 2 in Detroit). It will also be aired live throughout Michigan and even in Ohio. Here's the Lions' list of TV affiliates for the preseason (via 506 Sports):
WJBK (FOX/2 - Detroit)
WNEM (CBS/5 - Saginaw)
WSYM (FOX/47 - Lansing)
WXMI (FOX/17 - Grand Rapids)
WUPW (FOX/36 - Toledo OH)
WJMN (CBS/3 - Escanaba MI)
If you're in New York, the game will be aired on WCBS.
Online on NFL Game Pass
If you are an out-of-market fan, your best bet to catch the game live is by subscribing to NFL Game Pass. Unfortunately, there is no separate package just for preseason games this year, so you're required to purchase the entire full-season package. (On the bright side, there is a free trial that will cover Week 1 of the preseason.)
Replay on NFL Network
If you simply can't catch the game on Thursday night, NFL Network is scheduled to show three replays of it:
#Lions/#Jets replays on NFL Network (all ET): Friday, 8/14 - 5 a.m. Tuesday, 8/18 - 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, 8/19 - 1 p.m.

There are, of course, other ways to watch preseason games, but links to illegal streams are prohibited on Pride Of Detroit. (That goes for the comments as well. Don't post links to illegal streams.)
