Move over, Theo Riddick, there's a new Detroit Lions running back hype train in town. Specifically, I'm referring to the hype train leading the charge for rookie Ameer Abdullah. He may have only made his preseason debut on Thursday night, but the NFL world seems to be quite impressed with the former Nebraska Cornhusker. Case in point:
"He's about as quick as Barry Sanders. I'm not saying he's Barry Sanders, but he's got that quickness." Bowles on Abdullah.

Not satisfied? Choo choo:
The Ameer Abdullah hype is warranted. Vision, quickness, strength and toughness...perfect fit for Lions offense too.

Catching up on Ameer Abdullah highlights from earlier. Slashed just like he did in camp practices. The hype is real.

Caldwell on Abdullah: "The Lord blessed him with some pretty unique talent."

#Lions QB Dan Orlovsky on rookie Ameer Abdullah: "He’s got some juice and stuff you can’t go do drills and get good at it."
— Rod Beard (@detnewsRodBeard) August 14, 2015
#Lions Orlovsky on Abdullah: "He’s slippery and it doesn’t take him much time to get from here to there, which is a special quality."

If you're somehow still not satisfied, here's some evidence of why there is so much hype surrounding Abdullah:

It's going to be a lot of fun to watch Abdullah this season.
