Lions training camp: Notes from Monday's practice

In this edition of Detroit Lions training camp notes: Calvin Johnson doing Calvin Johnson things, Greg Salas, Jermelle Cudjo, Phillip Hunt and much more.

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports
  • The Detroit Lions took training camp to Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn on Monday night, and they had some special guests in the crowd:
  • Calvin Johnson is ridiculous, example No. 242546:
  • The Lions had some interesting offensive-line combinations on Monday night: I suppose it never hurts to have your offensive linemen prepared to play any position just in case.

  • The offense performed quite well in two-point situations on Monday night.
  • Good job, Ryan Broyles.
  • This is pretty disappointing to read given that the reports about Larry Webster have consistently been of this tone during training camp:
  • On the flip side, it seems that Taylor Boggs is picking up where he left off last Thursday:
  • It looks like the coaches took notice of Greg Salas' outstanding performance in the preseason opener.
  • Jermelle Cudjo and Phillip Hunt are also apparently grabbing the attention of the coaching staff.
