Lions notes: It's time for training camp!

Lions notes looks at Jim Caldwell, DeAndre Levy, James Ihedigbo and much more.

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports
  • Detroit Lions training camp has finally arrived with the veterans on the team officially reporting on Sunday:
  • Golden Tate picked a pretty unique way to show up to camp:
  • Jim Caldwell met with the media on Sunday afternoon and didn't shy away from the high expectations that are in place for the Lions. He also stressed how important it is for the Lions to keep getting better.
  • It sounds like both DeAndre Levy and James Ihedigbo are focused on football, not their contract situations.
  • Levy had some good news on his injury situation:
  • Joique Bell was mum on his injury situation when he arrived at the Lions' facility on Sunday.

  • Taylor Mays has a lot riding on his performance in training camp this year.
  • Excellent shirt choice, Lance Moore.
  • Three Lions players received bonuses simply for reporting for training camp.
  • Some new food items are coming to Ford Field this year.

  • The Lions are really stockpiling picks for the 2016 NFL Draft: Detroit added a second sixth-round pick on Sunday by trading Mohammed Seisay to the Seattle Seahawks.
