Jeremy Ross released by the Lions
Jeremy Ross is no longer a Detroit Lion. Per Jason LaCanfora, the organization has decided that Ross will not make the final cut, making it seem evident that TJ Jones will win that receiver battle. Ross, however, will need to find work elsewhere.

Lions cut Larry Webster, 3 more
Per Josina Anderson of ESPN, the Detroit Lions released four more players on Saturday, all from the defense. Defensive tackles Jerel Worthy and Kerry Hyder were among those released, as was defensive end Larry Webster and safety Isaiah Johnson.
