Lions training camp: Notes from Saturday's mock game

This edition of Detroit Lions training camp notes recaps various tidbits from Saturday's mock game.

  • The Detroit Lions closed out their first week of practice with a mock game on Saturday morning in Allen Park.

  • Following Saturday's practice, cornerback Ethan Davis was waived by the Lions. He only signed with the Lions on Tuesday, so he wasn't with them for very long.

  • DeAndre Levy, Joseph Fauria and the usual list of injured players were once again out on Saturday.

  • Here's some possible depth chart news: It's also worth noting that Gabe Wright and Phillip Hunt both received some No. 1 reps on the defensive line, Lance Moore was the first punt returner and Kellen Moore was the No. 2 quarterback over Dan Orlovsky.

  • In all reality, it probably doesn't matter who ends up winning the backup quarterback job given how Moore and Orlovsky have performed during training camp so far:
