As the Detroit Lions inch towards the regular season, they appear to be getting in good health. Kyle Van Noy returned to practice yesterday, Larry Warford and Caraun Reid are out of their respective walking boots and Haloti Ngata and Joique Bell are finally on the practice field.
However, one man remains mysteriously absent from practice: DeAndre Levy. Levy was held out of practice last Tuesday and hasn't practiced since. The Lions have been extremely quiet on the situation. While I don't think there is a real reason for concern there, it is a bit strange considering we don't even know what Levy is ailing from. Still, I have a hard time believing this is anything more than a precautionary measure.
In addition to Levy, Alex Carter (leg), Warford and Reid sat out of practice. Carter, however, was practicing with a trainer on the sidelines, so he seems to be making some progress on his ankle injury.
