The PODcast Episode #1

With the start to the season fast approaching and the first Lions game set to kickoff Sunday afternoon, a few of us here at Pride of Detroit felt it appropriate to try to string together a little something extra for the folks at home. I love podcasts. I run several in my spare time for other football matters, and when I came aboard, I wanted to see if there was a chance to bring back the idea of a Pride Of Detroit podcast.

Sure enough, we got the first episode off the ground. Myself, Joseph Buszek, and Ryan Mathews put together a good hour of casual sports talk about your Detroit Lions for this week.

It's still an experiment at this point. The format is going to be rehashed and refined each week, and we're working to get the podcast on a new hosting platform, where you'll be able to receive the podcast from syndication (iTunes, Stitcher, so forth). What I can really use from you, dear friends, is your ears to listen and your fingers to type out any feedback you might have. Such actions will go a long way in helping us fashion the future of the PODcast.

Please note to your friends that the PODcast stands for "Pride Of Detroit podcast" and the name does not reflect any nature that this podcast may be focused on late '90s alt metal band P.O.D. It's not related to that band at all. Sure they had two decent songs for whatever passed for hard rock in that decade but why would I be dragging that mess in here? That would just be silly.
