With the Detroit Lions back to practice on Wednesday, reporters and the public got the first look at the first official injury reports of the week. Despite early concerns over Matthew Stafford's injuries sustained from repeated hits delivered by the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, the starting quarterback was in full practice Wednesday. Other Lions were not so lucky.
Ezekiel Ansah did not practice on Wednesday, citing a back injury. DeAndre Levy and Brandon Pettigrew were also not at practice; the former is interesting given that Levy has claimed he is working to be back for the Week 3 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Three safeties were limited in practice - Don Carey, James Ihedigbo, Glover Quin - as was tackle Cornelius Lucas, who played on Sunday against Minnesota.
Missing from any declared report was defensive tackle Caraun Reid, which may be a good sign that Lions fans can expect him to be back soon. He has been battling a high ankle sprain since the preseason.
