The big question Lions fans wanted to be answered as Bob Quinn stepped behind the podium for the first time was what will happen with Jim Caldwell? Quinn immediately answered with a resounding: I Don't Know Yet.
Quinn said he wants to get to know Jim Caldwell and doesn't have a timetable for a decision.

Quinn stressed that he needs time to evaluate the organization before making a rash decision. Having only met with Caldwell for about 30 seconds, Quinn was not anywhere near ready to pull the plug on his coaching residency.
In fact, Quinn intimated that this decision may take longer than just a day or two. Although he refused to put a timeline on things, Quinn noted that there are a lot of people he wants to talk to before mixing up the coaching staff:
Quinn says he won’t make any decisions right off the bat. Wants to get in the building, learn people, players, evaluate from within.

Quinn will meet with Stafford before making call on Caldwell. Says a lot about his thinking on Stafford.

Overall, this may take the entire week for Quinn to make a decision. He repeated throughout the press conference that he is coming into the job with "no preconceived notions" about Caldwell or the organization. And it could take a while to familiarize himself inside Allen Park.
