2015 POD Awards: The nominations

Another season is in the books, meaning it's time to give out awards. But first, let's get the nominations.

Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

Continuing the annual tradidition, we will be handing out Pride of Detroit Awards to Detroit Lions players for the 2015 season (unfortunately, not literally). In the upcoming week or two, Pride of Detroit will vote on several categories rewarding either a specific player, game or play. In the comment section please submit your nominations for each catgeory.

Here at the categories:

  • Most Valuable Player
  • Offensive Player of the Year
  • Defensive Player of the Year
  • Special Teams Player of the Year
  • Breakout Player of the Year
  • Rookie of the Year
  • Game of the Year
  • Moment of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
After gathering all of your nominations and potentially adding one or two of my own, we will set up polls for each category and vote. After a week of voting we will announce the winners and display the results. Some candidates may run away with the vote, while a few categories will have an interesting debate between a few options. Anyway, let's get it going with the nominations!
