Alright, everyone. Stop what you're doing on your undoubtedly busy Thursdays around the office and gather round. Get ready, get the takes hot, and get ready to dissect the very first roster move of Bob Quinn's tenure! Yeah baby! It's time to make flash judgments and quibble over what is a single reserve-future deal! This is what we've wanted. This is what you wanted! The off-season is now! Yeeeeeaaaaah!
Tim Twentyman has the news, as the Detroit Lions have signed free agent Austin Willis to a reserve-future deal.
The #Lions have signed WR Austin Willis (Emporia State) to a reserve-future deal.

Yessir, just wrote that. Thank you.
Austin Willis was an undrafted free agent last year out of Emporia State, a NCAA Division II school in Kansas. He tried out for the Oakland Raiders during camp and was signed by the same team. You can read about his journey and background over on Silver & Black Pride.
As a reserve-future deal, Willis will be joining the practice squad for the time being. Where he goes from there is anyone's guess. It's a precarious position, but for now he's a Detroit Lion.
