Bob Quinn's massive makeover continues. With plenty of stones to turn over to look for whatever people look for when they turn over stones, the shakeup continues in the Lions front office well into Friday. It was on that day when the Lions decided to part ways with senior vice president of football operations Cedric Saunders.
The Lions have fired VP of football operations Cedric Saunders, per league sources. He was with the team for 10 years.

Cedric Saunders, hired during the Matt Millen regime, was promoted to director of football operations in 2007, his second season with the club. In 2015, he was promoted to senior vice president of football operations. Before working in Detroit, Saunders worked with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
There's nothing really to say about the decision to move on from Saunders other than it seems to be another move to put Bob Quinn's personal stamp on the front office and bring in his own selection of personnel.
