Matt Prater kicks longest field goal in Detroit Lions history

After missing a long field, Matt Prater made up for it with a 59-yarder.

The Detroit Lions took a 10-point lead into halftime after Matt Prater kicked a 59-yard field goal. Surprisingly, this was the longest field goal in Lions history:

Prater has been a huge pickup for the Lions this season. He has only missed two field goals on the season. And although he missed a 53-yard field goal earlier in the game against the Bears, a 59-yarder at Soldier Field is undoubtedly impressive.
