Sunday open thread: Do you want the Lions to return to London?

Would you be okay if the Lions played another game in London?

The NFL’s International Series continues in Week 4 as the Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars are just hours away from kicking off in London, England. Last year, the Detroit Lions were a part of the series, losing a blowout to the Kansas City Chiefs 45-10. The year before that, the Lions played their first game in London, winning a thriller 22-21 over the Atlanta Falcons.

The two London games gave the Lions a nice bit of publicity and perhaps even grew the fanbase on another continent. It also gave current, local fans an interesting experience of watching their team play at 9:30 in the morning.

So today’s Question of the Day is:

Do you want the Detroit Lions to play in London again?

My answer: No. I feel like the novelty of the London game has already worn off. Obviously, if the Lions aren’t using a home game on the London game, it could actually be a bit of a strategic advantage for Detroit. But in the end, it is too minimal of a bonus and a 6:30 a.m. start on the west coast is more than inconvenient for yours truly. So, hard pass.

Your turn.
