Two new names appeared on the Lions injury report Thursday as Detroit began their second day of practice in the lead-up to Sunday’s bout against Washington. Tahir Whitehead—who was limited in practice—has an abdominal issue, while Corey Robinson sat out Thursday with an ankle injury.
The Lions had been using Corey Robinson in a sort of tight end position in the past couple of games, attempting to make up for a dearth of blocking at the position. It’s interesting that he did not appear on Wednesday’s report, but final word on availability will probably not be known until Friday. Otherwise, the same major players for the Lions—Haloti Ngata, Eric Ebron, DeAndre Levy and Theo Riddick—remain out.
For Washington, tight end Jordan Reed missed practice Thursday. He is still going through league concussion protocols.
