Something has to give. The Detroit Lions are on a two-game winning streak after pulling themselves out of a huge 1-3 slump. Washington, who also started slowly at 0-2, is riding a four-game winning streak.
Detroit is coming into this week riddled with injuries, once again. The team has already declared five players out and an additional four players are questionable. Washington, on the other hand, will be mostly at full strength. Just tight end Jordan Reed has been ruled out, while wide receiver DeSean Jackson is questionable, but expected to play by most.
Regardless of injuries, the Lions have been playing very well on offense, with Matthew Stafford gaining national attention this week for his play over the past two months. Washington, too, has garnered a lot of attention for their balanced offense and opportunistic defense.
