Lions players react to thrilling victory over Washington

A lot of Lions players gave Matthew Stafford some well-deserved praise.

The Detroit Lions are 4-3 and both fans and players are starting to really believe in this team. There are a lot of reasons why they should be excited. At 4-3, the Lions are just a half game behind both wild card spots, currently held by the 4-2 Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles. Matthew Stafford has proven that no lead is safe, no matter how late in the game. Detroit is on a three-game winning streak and turning heads all around the league.

You can sense the excitement around the Detroit Lions locker room as the Lions players are fired up on social media. Here’s a sampling of the reactions after Sunday’s win over Washington.

Great team win

The Jim Caldwell mantra popped up yet again after the Lions’ third consecutive win. Though Stafford deserves a lot of credit, everyone is quick to credit the entire team for the victory this week:


Sam Martin and Anthony Zettel’s celebratory tweets didn’t fit into one of the above categories, but they were too good to pass up:
