The Detroit Lions are 4-3 and both fans and players are starting to really believe in this team. There are a lot of reasons why they should be excited. At 4-3, the Lions are just a half game behind both wild card spots, currently held by the 4-2 Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles. Matthew Stafford has proven that no lead is safe, no matter how late in the game. Detroit is on a three-game winning streak and turning heads all around the league.
You can sense the excitement around the Detroit Lions locker room as the Lions players are fired up on social media. Here’s a sampling of the reactions after Sunday’s win over Washington.
Matthew Stafford is good
Unsurprisingly, many Lions players are praising Stafford after his remarkable 24th game-winning drive.
9, Staff, is EVERYTHING that is RIGHT with the NFL and sports!#competitor

To which Ezekiel Ansah responded:

Golden Tate got in on the love, too:
Golden Tate to me on his QB after the game: "Number 9 is the MVP." Hard to argue. @Lions @NFLonFOX

Enjoying a W from the sideline
With the Lions injury report growing each week, the sidelined players are still having a lot of fun watching this team:

Great team win
The Jim Caldwell mantra popped up yet again after the Lions’ third consecutive win. Though Stafford deserves a lot of credit, everyone is quick to credit the entire team for the victory this week:

Miscellaneous
Sam Martin and Anthony Zettel’s celebratory tweets didn’t fit into one of the above categories, but they were too good to pass up:
