- A few people raised their eyebrows at us after we claimed that Matthew Stafford absolutely needs to be the MVP conversation after seven weeks of play. But we’re not the only ones saying that anymore. Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press said he’s “worthy of including in the conversion.” ESPN’s Michael Rothstein believes Stafford has “made himself into a legitimate MVP candidate.” Even NFL.com’s Adam Schein calls him “a top-five candidate.”
- To be fair, there are a fair amount of people who disagree. The Big Lead’s Jason Lisk points to the Detroit Lions’ record as the biggest reason why Stafford is a longshot to win MVP. And then there’s this:
