Although the team has been snakebitten among its best play-makers, the Lions received good news Wednesday when Eric Ebron, Theo Riddick and Haloti Ngata returned to practice—albeit in a limited capacity. While they’ve been missing for a while, their return may signal they could be ready to go when the Lions go on the road to play the Houston Texans on Sunday.
However, Wednesday remains a maintenance day, and the defense may have taken another serious injury depending on how the week pans out. Darius Slay, who left Sunday’s game against Washington with a hamstring issue, was out Wednesday. In addition, tackle Riley Reiff was absent with an “illness,” while Marvin Jones had a non-injury related absence. DeAndre Levy remains out.
The Texans did not practice on Wednesday due to playing on “Monday Night Football.” Their report is their estimation on what they should be dealing with once practice resumes for them on Thursday. The full report follow below:
