Will you be watching the rivalry games between the Spartans and Wolverines?

Saturday marks one of the biggest days of the year on the Michigan sports calendar. The day in which my Twitter timeline is staunchly divided in two. The day in which the Pride Of Detroit staff is fighting about something other than food takes. The day in which insults like “Walmart Wolverines” and “Sparty, NO!” are hurled across the entire Great Lakes State.

The Michigan State Spartans take on the Michigan Wolverines in their annual rivalry game on Saturday. However, this year appears set up for a big disappointment. The Wolverines enter Saturday as 24.5-point favorites, the biggest line in the rivalry’s history in nearly 20 years. The Spartan’s season has fallen apart after five straight losses have plummeted them to the bottom of the Big Ten East. The Wolverines, on the other hand, are 7-0, ranked No. 2 overall and are looking to grab a playoff berth for the first time in school history.

So today’s Question of the Day is:

Will you be watching Saturday’s rivalry game between the Spartans and Wolverines?

My answer: Absolutely, yes. Full disclosure, I’m a Wolverines fan. And since the Spartan have won seven of the last eight matchups between the two teams, and last year’s loss had me in a weird, catatonic state, I have had the need for redemption.

Now, I’m fully aware that this rivalry has resulted in some weird, wacky games in the past and I am, by no means, guaranteeing a win over the Spartans. But let’s just say I like my chances at freeing the demons from last year.

Your turn.
