The avalanche of pain continues as seven Detroit Lions sat out from Wednesday practice with various lingering issues. The usual suspects were listed: Ezekiel Ansah and DeAndre Levy still did not practice, while Marvin Jones, Eric Ebron, Dwayne Washington and others were out as well.
Interesting enough, DeAndre Levy is now designated with two injuries. In addition to the quad issue that has been plaguing him since after the Week 1 game, he is now listed with a knee injury. It’s unclear why this is or how this has come to be, and knowing the Lions there’s probably going to be little word about how Levy is coming along, if any at all. Levy struggled with knee issues earlier on in the year during training camp.
Eric Ebron, who has been taking several hard hits in the past few weeks, is also listed with two injuries, in his ankle and knee. Dwayne Washington, who left Sunday’s bout against the Bears, is listed with an ankle injury. In the past few weeks we’ve usually seen Wednesday be an off day for many injuries that would eventually lessen, so it’s possible that many of those who didn’t practice (excluding Levy and Ansah) may have a good chance to be listed no lower than questionable for Sunday’s match against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Those Eagles, by the by, list only five injuries, and all of their players were at full practice on Wednesday. The full reports follow below.
