With a healthy lead in the NFC North and five games remaining in the season, the Detroit Lions will enter December needing to finish strong. Unfortunately, Detroit’s schedule isn’t doing them any favors. Here’s a look at the final five games of the season for the Lions:
at Saints (5-6)
vs. Bears (2-9)
at Giants (8-3)
at Cowboys (10-1)
vs. Packers (5-6)
While that isn’t exactly the hardest schedule in the conference—that honor belongs to the Giants—it’s not ideal for a team seeking its first division title since 1993.
So today’s Question of the Day is:
What do you think the Lions’ record will be in their final 5 games?
My answer: 3-2. I couldn’t tell you which games the Lions win and which they lose, but I feel they can, should and probably have to win three of their final five. That would push the Lions to 10-6, which would almost certainly win the division, unless the Packers or Vikings run the table, which I think is unlikely.
Your turn.
