For the second time all season, the Detroit Lions enter a week of football a heavy favorite. At 8-4, the Lions are expected to handle the lowly 3-9 Chicago Bears with ease. However, as we’ve detailed a couple times this week, there are some aspects of the matchup that could give Detroit problems.
And this game couldn’t be more important for Detroit. With a win, the Lions move their magic number down to 2, pick up a divisional win and notch another victory in their conference.
For the Bears, they currently hold the No. 5 overall pick and a win could shoot them out of the top five. But a win would also give Chicago the season sweep, and for a team that was swept by the Lions three years in a row, it could be sweet justice in an otherwise bitter season.
